Description
It would be nice if people can very easily set the GPS coordinates for a city, in lieu of loading the full boundaries. That way we can start linking cities with countries more quickly.
For now, the /admin section can be used, but that is not a user-friendly, long-term option.

Thanks Gerardo! Do note: this current task is about a regular user being able to enter the coordinates for a city in the system (currently you can not do that, you can only link a shapefile, but not yet the coordinates themselves). Also see this task here.
However, what you mention is a very good NEXT upgrade of the system... that we load the coordinates automatically instead of having the user look them up. So let's make a task for that so we can embed this as well!

This was now built into the system. People can go to DATA PROCESSING > BOUNDARIES, and enter the lat/lng if they don't have a shapefile yet. I've used it to upload all the coordinates Carlos provided as per this task. Now (nearly) all of our cities have a pin, jay!!
