During the French Environmental Conference in 2013, Circular economy has been identified has a major issue to change the economic model towards a resource optimised management. Better flows understanding is a prior and necessary step to make this transition successful.
According to those issues, the DREAL ACAL has produced a Material Flow Analysis (MFA) at regional scale (Lorraine and its counties) with two main goals:
Improving flows understanding on those territories and point out solutions and paths towards a circular resource management.
Popularize and communicate this knowledge to share it with local actors.
