Water treatment works list
Description
Water treatment in Cape Town started with the Constantia Nek Treatment Works which was completed in 1928 as an experimental treatment plant. The experience gained from operating this works was used to assist with the design of the much larger Steenbras Treatment Works near Gordon’s Bay, which was completed in 1946.
